The Agency on Aging (AOA) provides opportunities for socializing, adequate nutrition, and supportive services to the senior residents of Escambia County, AL. The AOA is funded through the Escambia County Commission and the South Alabama Regional Planning Commission. The AOA currently has six nutrition centers located in Atmore, Brewton, East Brewton, Flomaton, Huxford, and Poarch.

The Senior/Nutrition Centers provide lunch Monday through Friday to all attending Senior Citizens. Homebound meals are delivered to those areas of the county served by a nutrition site. Other programs include: Homemaker Program, Legal Services, Senior Discount Program and Senior Medication Program. The AOA also acts as a referral point for other services provided to senior citzens in the county, which originate through other agencies.
